I have always loved and admired dolls. I am now a reborn doll artist hoping to provide my customers with their "Dream Baby". Each baby is a OOAK (One of a Kind). I start with a vinyl sculpt kit which is a blank vinyl kit of head, arms, legs and possibly a belly plate. There are many layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints applied to build a realistic skin tone. I pay special attention to details: veins, mottling, transparent skin areas (of the face, palms of hands, wrists and soles of feet), eyebrows, nails, inner ear and occasionally I add very fine capillaries to the cheeks/inner ears/eyelids. This can be viewed by looking at my babies. I hand root the hair, using premium mohair with 1 to 2 hairs per follicle. I also hand root the eyelashes on most of my babies. Typically, each baby's body is made of soft doe suede with jointed limbs. The body is filled with a soft, fluffy polyfill and fine glass granules to weight the body in all the right places. Oh Yes, be sure to support your baby's head as it is made to be slightly heavy to provide realism. Each baby will come with at least one outfit, blanket, SLRN Care Instructions, SLRN Birth Certificate. Additional options (such as magnets) or Limited Edition Certificate of Authenticity will be listed in the individual description.
