Description:
This "stump doll" was created with materials sent to me by a dear friend in Australia. I had intended this sculpture to be youthful since her bright colorful fabric made me think it would be something a young girl would wear..yet after several attempts to achieve the look I had to give in to the look of sadness she wanted to wear. She appears to be reflecting on some sad event that has happened in her young life....perhaps it has to do with loss of love as noted by her small bouquet which she holds in her resting hands.
